From Traffic Stop to Trafficking Charges: Police Make Late-Night Arrest
Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest & New Charges
On October 29th at 10:49 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue. The subject, a 22-year-old male, was found to have a Warrant for his Arrest and was arrested. Subsequent search found a small amount of meth and fentanyl along with scales, baggies and phones. Also located was bear spray and a machete. The male was breaching multiple conditions for curfew and not possessing drugs or weapons. The male was arrested and held to attend court in the morning on October 30th, 2025.
Charges include Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, Possession of a Weapon x2, Failure to Comply Release Order x5, Failure to Comply Undertaking x3, and Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Release Order).
Resist Arrest / Mischief Under
On October 30th at 2:06 a.m. police received a report of a male causing a disturbance at a hotel in the 2100 block of Currie Blvd. Upon police attending the male resisted and attempted to run away. While under arrest in the police cruiser, the 31-year-old male kicked at the door causing damage. Once medically cleared and in a more sober state the male was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 15th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On October 29th at 10:21 a.m. Police received a report of a woman who failed to properly scan items at a store in the 2600 block of Victoria Avenue. Surveillance footage was reviewed and confirmed the theft. Investigation led police to attending the suspect’s residence. A 56-year-old woman at the residence on Wapiti Way was identified as the same person seen in the video. She was arrested and transported to BPS for processing. The suspect was later released on an Undertaking, with a court appearance scheduled for January 12, 2026.
