Hlady joins Moose Jaw as their new Equipment Manager

Brandon hockey fans will see a familiar name taking on a new role in the Western Hockey League.

Brandon resident, and former hockey player, Scott Hlady has been named the new Equipment Manager of the Moose Jaw Warriors.  Hlady spent 22 years as the Equipment Manager for the Brandon Wheat Kings before joining the Manitoba Moose of the AHL

He now returns to the WHL, where he will be responsible for the day-to-day equipment needs of the Warriors players and hockey operations staff.

The move marks another step in Hlady’s hockey career, which has included time as a player before transitioning into the equipment and hockey operations side of the game.

Hlady’s new position also means a return to the Westman area for the Warriors during the upcoming season. Moose Jaw is scheduled to face the Brandon Wheat Kings in a pre-season game in Brandon on September 11, before hosting Brandon the following night.

For the Brandon resident and former player, the new role provides an opportunity to continue working in the game at the WHL level while joining the Warriors organization for the 2026-27 season.
