Brandon Police Service Media Release
At approximately 9:20 p.m., Police stopped a vehicle in the 900 Block of 26th Street after observing a male known to Officers driving the vehicle and picking up a female who was also known to officers. The male is Suspended from Driving and both subjects were taken into Police custody. A search of a backpack belonging to the male recovered a can of bear spray and a search of the female recovered a small amount of Methamphetamine. The male is the subject of a Court Order with conditions to not possess weapons and the female is bound by a Court Order with a condition to not possess any drugs. The 33-year-old Brandon man was arrested for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Weapon while Prohibited and Breach of Court Order. The 43-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Breach of Court Order. Both individuals were lodged at the Correctional Center and are scheduled to appear in Court on Thursday.
