Male struck by vehicle Saturday morning, police say

At 1:12 am, Saturday morning, Police were flagged down and advised that there was a male laying on the roadway near 18^th and Richmond.  The subsequent investigation revealed that the male had dropped something on the roadway and when he went to retrieve it he was struck by a black truck, which then fled the scene.  The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The investigation is continuing.
