Male Waving Knife in Back Lane Ends in Arrest

On July 2^nd at approximately 6:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a male waving around a butcher knife in the back lane of the 200 block of 8th Street. Officers attended the area, located the 36-year-old male, and arrested him without incident. The individual was bound by court-ordered conditions prohibiting him from possessing knives or other weapons. Due to his intoxication by drugs, he was brought to Brandon Police Service detention cells. Once sober, he will be released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 17^th, 2026.
