On Saturday afternoon, officers responded to a report of a fire in an apartment in the 400 block 13th St.  On arrival, a woman was located on the sidewalk outside the residence with injuries from an assault.  The victim had a broken ankle, swelling to the hands and face and cuts on her head.  She was transported to BRHC where she stated a woman had come to her residence earlier in the morning and assaulted her by punching her and hitting her with a pipe.  The victim attempted to leave and was assaulted a second time outside the residence.  The fire was caused by the suspect stacking items on the stove and leaving it on when she left.   The suspect, a 25 year old  from Griswold, was located later in the day and arrested. She was held in custody and will appear in court on Sunday morning on charges of Aggravated Assault Assault with a Weapon, Assault by Strangulation, Assault by Suffication and Uttering threats.
