Police Break Up Drunken Brawl Between Two Women

Fight

At 5:56PM, police were called to a fight in progress in front of a central Brandon address.  On arrival it was determined to be a consensual fight between two intoxicated females.  There were no injuries, one woman was turned over to family and the second, a 19y/o woman was held in custody as there was no one to turn her over to.  She will be released when sober.

Robbery

At 2:42AM, a call was received from a resident downtown claiming he had been bear sprayed and his bicycle was stolen.  The suspect was known to the victim.  Police attended the area, although they didn’t recover the bicycle, the suspect was located in obvious distress as he had been affected by his own bear spray.  He was arrested and charged with robbery. The 39y/o man will be released when sober with a court date.
