On Thursday evening, a woman reported being involved in an altercation with her sister at a residence in the 700 block of 10th St. During the argument, one of the women armed herself with a machete and cut the left hand of the victim, causing an injury that required several stitches. The accused, a 19 year old woman from Sioux Valley, was located nearby, arrested for Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for A Dangerous Purpose and released to appear in court in February.
