The salon opened in September, however, owner Melissa Hardy has been honing her skills in the industry for over 10 years. Melissa was born and raised in Brandon, she also trained to become a hair stylist and apprenticed in the Wheat City as well.
“I love what I do. This is my whole world. I get to make people feel their absolute best. Someone can be having a horrible day and I do their hair and they leave here feeling like a million bucks,” said Melissa.
Located at 1003-13th Street, Studio 13 offers clients a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where all hair services such as colouring, cuts, perms, and styling are available. Stylist Jalisa Creasy also works alongside Melissa.
The salon uses stylist-exclusive Goldwell hair products to create professional, stunning results for all their clients. Along with complete coif-related services, they also offer eyelash extensions and Melissa has plans to offer nail services in the near future as well.
They are also proud to be the only distributor in Brandon that carries the Rocky Mountain Soap Co. product line. This Canadian company uses 100% natural, simple ingredients to create a wide range of products for your face, hair, and body.
