Two Too Tipsy: Two Disturbances, Two Intoxicated Females, Two Sobering Stays

Breach of the Peace

In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. The 25-year-old intoxicated female was causing a disturbance by screaming and yelling at a hotel on Queens Avenue. She was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells to be released once sober.

Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

In the past 24 hours, one individual was arrested under the PDCIPA. Police were called to a disturbance at a duplex in the 200 block of Louise Avenue. Family members did not want the highly intoxicated 19-year-old female to attend the home in the condition she was in. She was transported to BPS detention cells and will be released once she is sober in the morning.
