Brandon emergency services responded to the intersection of Richmond Ave East and Highway 110 for a two vehicle crash on Friday afternoon.
A car and an SUV collided in the intersection, which ended up blocking traffic. Fluids were leaking from at least one of the vehicles, which required sand to be used to soak up the spill. Airbags also deployed in at least one of the vehicles.
Traffic in most directions was either slowed or stopped completely which caused a backlog of traffic, including numerous transport trucks. One vehicle was taken away on a flatbed tow truck, while the other was able to be moved to the shoulder. No injuries occurred.
