The U12 Westman Magic hosted a 4 team exhibition tournament this weekend at Ashley Neufeld Softball Complex.
The Winnipeg Lightning, Winnipeg Angels, and Interlake Phillies joined the Magic to battle the heat and wind to play a full round robin schedule on Saturday, with playoffs taking place on Sunday.
The Phillies and Angels squared off in the Bronze Medal Game with the Phillies coming out on top by score of 8 – 7.
The Magic and Lighting met in the Gold Medal Game in a rematch of the final round robin game where the Lightning cruised to a lopsided victory.
However, in this one the Magic jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back, running away with a 15 -0 Victory and their second tournament win of the Season.
The U12 Magic will met these teams and others again in the U12 A Provincials held in Winnipeg July 27th – 29th.
