1st Street Watermain Replacement Project From Louise Avenue To Van Horne Avenue To Start Next Week

The City of Brandon is replacing the watermain along 1st Street between  Louise Avenue and Van Horne Avenue. Construction is set to start next week. 

This project involves upgrading aging underground infrastructure, including installation of  new watermain piping, valves, hydrants, and service connections. The improvements will  help ensure reliable drinking water service and support continued growth in the  community. 

Construction will take place in stages within the roadway and will require partial lane  closures. Traffic will be maintained where possible, but drivers should expect delays and  are encouraged to plan alternate routes. 

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. The City  recognizes that construction may cause temporary disruptions and appreciates the  patience of residents and business owners.
