2 people face drug-trafficking charges in Brandon

At approximately 8:45 am, police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of 9^th street and found the driver to be suspended. Further investigation revealed that the driver and a passenger were in possession of approximately 2 ounces of cocaine, 12 cell phones and a large amount of cash. One of the cell phones had been reported stolen. A 22-year-old male and a 22-year-old female were arrested and will appear in court on October 17, 2019 on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
