The 40 today announced that legendary Canadian band Helix will be rocking their stage on Saturday, July 15th. Helix was formed in 1974 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The band has 4 gold and platinum albums and has toured the world with over 200 bands. Notable singles include: Rock You, Gimmie Gimmie Good Lovin, Anything You Want, Good to the Last Drop, and Running Wild in the 21st Century. Advance tickets are only $20, plus GST, and will go on-sale starting Monday morning at the front desk at the Trails West Motor Inn. On the night of the show, the doors will open at 9:30 pm and the show is to start at 10:30 pm.

Canadian rock legends Loverboy and country music star Michelle Wright will be leading the Canada D'Eh celebrations at Canadian Forces Base Shilo this Canada Day.  They will be joined by 2014 Juno Nominee for break through artist of the year - Tyler Shaw and comedian Pete Zedlacher. They will hit the main stage at 7:00 p.m. Local bands will entertain on the day stage at the beer garden led by local favourite Clubbing Fraggles. Adding to this year’s special festivities is a Show and Shine car show with over a hundred vehicles on display. The “Jiffy Jeep” will be torn apart and rebuilt in record time by our team of military mechanics. Activities for the whole family will start at 2:00 pm with laser tag, an obstacle course, Bubble Soccer, foam party, dunk tank, Gladiator Jousting and much more. There will be food vendors on site as well as a massive birthday cake. The RCA Museum will be open all day and will also have additional vehicles from its extensive collection on display near the car show. This free event is open to everyone. With under 50 days to the first day of competition, the 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society and Co-hosts gave the public a taste of the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Canada Games Festival that will act as a central hub for spectators, athletes, volunteers and the Manitoba community during the Canada Summer Games. The festival that will run from July 29 to August 12 at The Forks, will be free, easily accessible, and open to the public. A MUSICAL CELEBRATION FROM COAST TO COAST TO COAST The Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Canada Games Festival will celebrate the many unique facets of Canadian culture by showcasing professional artists from across Canada. The Games will have a distinctly festive atmosphere in light of the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games and Canada’s 150th. “The Forks have been a gathering place for thousands of years,” said Jeff Hnatiuk, President and CEO of the 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society. “It seemed only natural to stage the biggest Canada Games Festival here. Prior to today's announcement the Carberry Casino's hours were: Mon - Sat 10:00am – 3:00am and Sun 12:00pm – 3:00am.

June 6, 2017 Brandon, MB – The Manitoba Summer Fair starts tomorrow at the Keystone Centre in Brandon with 39 midway rides, daily sideshow entertainment, children activities, an open heavy and light horse show, an ApHC & ApHCC sanctioned show and the RCMP Musical Ride on Wednesday & Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM in the outdoor ring. All of these attractions are included in regular gate admission. “Having the RCMP Musical Ride join us for our 135th anniversary is the icing on the cake.” said Ron Kristjansson, General Manager at the Provincial Exhibition. “We are very proud to have the Honourable Janice C. Filmon, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba joining us for Thursday night’s show.
