Rockin the Fields Postponed to 2021

May 1, 2020 (Minnedosa, MB) – It is with broken hearts that Rockin’ The Fields of Minnedosa announces that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the recently released direction from the Government of Manitoba and health officials, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 edition of the festival scheduled for July 31 – August 2, 2020 to July 30 – August 1, 2021. “Postponing the festival was not a decision made lightly, but it was becoming more apparent that the rules and regulations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic were not going to let up anytime soon,” said Al Logan, President of Rockin’ The Fields of Minnedosa, adding “We are working closely with all of our artists, sponsors, partners and vendors who continue to be incredibly supportive.“ “I am encouraged by initial discussions with all artists that the lineup will remain largely intact, with most of the acts already confirming for 2021,” said promoter Rob Waloschuk of Performance Promotions. More lineup details will be released in the coming months. All current tickets and camping purchased for the 2020 event will automatically be valid for 2021. We are currently working with our ticket company and will be offering information to all ticket holders as to how to obtain refunds if required, within the next few weeks. We ask for everyone’s patience as we work through this unprecedented process, as we conduct business safely and remotely. Today, stay home, stay safe. Because in 2021, we’ll be Rockin’ The Fields of Minnedosa and we want YOU there with us! Media inquiries

Friends create “Pass the Brush Video” to have fun & connect in self isolation

For Brandon's Jill Landry, creating a video (Pass the Brush) was a great way to connect with friends and have some fun during this period of self isolation. She tells bdnmb.ca that she had the idea after seeing a video on Tik Tok of some famous makeup artists doing this (Pass the Brush) and thought it would be fun to recreate here in Brandon. Putting the video together didn’t take long once everyone sent her their portion. Deciding who to ask and actually “getting ready” for the video took the most amount of time, according to Jill. Who is in the video first to last: 1. Thera Weenink. A local photographer from Souris, MB @therasphotography 2. Jill Landry. Local co-owner of OAK+IVY Salon in Brandon, MB @colorsbyjill 3. Katie Minshulll. Hairstylist from Brandon, MB, currently works in Winnipeg, MB. Previous Co-owner of OAK+IVY Salon. @styledby_katie 4. Farran LeBlanc: Pawsitive Communities 5. Jessie Larway. A local hairstylist from Brandon, MB. Works at OAK+IVY Salon. @jess.doeshair 6. Paige Munn. Local Hairstylist from Brandon, MB. Works at KG Style Hair Beauty. @herhair.paige The group has been receiving a lot of positive feedback since the video was first posted a few days ago. "Everyone is loving the video, lots have said they’ve watched it 20+ times" said Jill. "We’ve even seen other locals recreate this video since we posted it! I think social media content is a fun way to put a smile on peoples faces during this time, and I think we did a good job of doing that." You can view the video on @colorsbyjill or @styledby_katie ‘s instagram pages or on TikTok on @colorsbyjill as well.
