Assault / Assault with a Weapon / Possession of a Weapon A victim from an incident on Tuesday came forward and provided statement substantiating the above charges. A 25-year-old female was arrested and later released via Undertaking with a court date of January 5th, 2026. Arrest Warrants In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested on the strength of their warrants. One was released on an Undertaking, two were released via Appearance Notices, and one was held for court in the morning. (Two additional Arrest Warrants discussed in depth below with new charges) Breach of the Peace On October 30th at 8:10 p.m. two calls were received of a female causing a disturbance in Westaway Bay. Police attended and a 20-year-old intoxicated female was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells to prevent further issues. She will be released once sober. Assault On October 30th at 9:21 p.m. police were called to a disturbance outside of a business on Willowdale Crescent. A female had reportedly tried to de-escalate a situation between a male and female – however the situation escalated quickly, and she ended up being punched twice in the face by the female, and her boyfriend was hit by the male. The boyfriend did not wish to pursue charges, however the female did. The 37-year-old female suspect who hit her was located by Police walking in the area and was arrested. She was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 15th, 2026. BFES attended to address minor injuries. Failure to Comply Undertaking On October 30th, 2025, at approximately 11:39 p.m., police received a panic alarm from a residence in the 400 block of 12th Street. Upon arrival, officers located a highly intoxicated 36-year-old female outside the address. The female was found to be bound by conditions to abstain from consuming alcohol. She was arrested for breaching her release conditions and lodged in the BPS detention unit until sober. Once sober, the female will be released on an Appearance Notice with a court date set for January 12, 2026. Arrest Warrant + New Charge of Public Mischief On October 31st at 1:06 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 000 block of 6th Street. When asked for ID the subject provided a false name. When his real identity was determined, it was found that he had an endorsed Warrant for Arrest. (Theft Under $5000). He was arrested and brought to BPS where he was processed and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of November 24th, 2025. Arrest Warrant + New Charges On October 31st at approximately 5:21 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of 2nd Street. It was reported that two men were causing a disturbance upstairs. Upon arrival, officers located a 58-year-old male who was determined to be the cause of the disturbance. The male was found to be breaching multiple court-imposed conditions, including requirements to reside in Winnipeg, observe a 10:00 p.m. curfew, and abstain from alcohol consumption. The male was also found wearing an ankle monitor. Further investigation revealed that the male was wanted on an Arrest Warrant for Failure to Comply with Court Order (SOIRA) ×2. He was additionally charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order ×3 and Disturbing the Peace. The male was arrested and held in custody at BPS for court in the morning.

From Traffic Stop to Trafficking Charges: Police Make Late-Night Arrest

Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest & New Charges On October 29th at 10:49 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue. The subject, a 22-year-old male, was found to have a Warrant for his Arrest and was arrested. Subsequent search found a small amount of meth and fentanyl along with scales, baggies and phones. Also located was bear spray and a machete. The male was breaching multiple conditions for curfew and not possessing drugs or weapons. The male was arrested and held to attend court in the morning on October 30th, 2025. Charges include Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, Possession of a Weapon x2, Failure to Comply Release Order x5, Failure to Comply Undertaking x3, and Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Release Order). Resist Arrest / Mischief Under On October 30th at 2:06 a.m. police received a report of a male causing a disturbance at a hotel in the 2100 block of Currie Blvd. Upon police attending the male resisted and attempted to run away. While under arrest in the police cruiser, the 31-year-old male kicked at the door causing damage. Once medically cleared and in a more sober state the male was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 15th, 2025. Theft Under $5000 On October 29th at 10:21 a.m. Police received a report of a woman who failed to properly scan items at a store in the 2600 block of Victoria Avenue. Surveillance footage was reviewed and confirmed the theft. Investigation led police to attending the suspect’s residence. A 56-year-old woman at the residence on Wapiti Way was identified as the same person seen in the video. She was arrested and transported to BPS for processing. The suspect was later released on an Undertaking, with a court appearance scheduled for January 12, 2026.

Two Arrested in Separate Assault Incidents

Assault On October 28th at 1:45 a.m. police located a 36-year-old female in the 000 block of 10th Street who was wanted by police for an assault that took place earlier in the evening. The female was arrested and held in BPS detention cells for release once sober with a future court date of December 22nd, 2025. Assault On October 21st, 2025, police received a report of an assault that occurred at a restaurant in the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue. Investigation revealed that a 14-year-old female youth had challenged the victim, a 13-year-old female, to a fight. When the victim attempted to leave, she was grabbed by the hair, punched multiple times, pushed to the ground, and kicked. The incident was captured on video. On October 27, 2025, the accused was arrested and later released on an Undertaking, with a court date set for December 23, 2025.

Suspect Flees Police, Arrested After Foot Chase

 On October 26th at 09:45 AM, Police observed a male subject walking in the 300 block 8th St and recognized him from an incident from the previous day. The male was told he was being detained for an investigation, at which point he took off running. He was pursued on foot to the area of the 1000 Lorne Ave. The male ran into a residence in that area. Police gained permission to enter the home and located the accused within the residence. The 30-year-old male was arrested on the strength of two outstanding warrants. Once placed in the police cruiser the accused forcefully caused damage to the rear door of the police cruiser. In addition, the accused discarded a fanny pack while being pursued by officers which contained a cannister of bear spray. The accused was held in custody for the above noted charges, and he will attend Court on October 27th, 2025.
