Police kept busing with motor vehicle accidents Friday evening

At 4:51PM, police came upon a collision at Victoria Avenue and 18th Street. A north bound vehicle failed to yield to traffic, colliding into a second vehicle. The driver displayed signs consistent with alcohol intoxication.  She provided two breath samples at the scene, failing both times.  The 39y/o woman had her driver’s license seized for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for 30 days. There were no injuries and both vehicles had to be towed.

At 6:27PM, police were called to 18th Street and Park Avenue for another motor vehicle collision.  Witnesses stated that a vehicle slid through a red traffic light colliding with a second vehicle.  The driver provided two breath samples at the scene, failing both times.  A 67y/o man had his driver’s license seized for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 30 days.  There were no injuries.
