Minnedosa RCMP respond to fatal scooter collision

On November 25, 2025, at 4:00 pm, Minnedosa RCMP were notified about an injured male on 3rd Avenue NW in Minnedosa. Officers responded immediately and located an injured male laying on the road with an electric scooter nearby. Emergency Medical Services treated the 46-year-old male at the scene and then transported him to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation determined the male was travelling down 3rd Street NW on the scooter when he lost control and collided with the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet. BPS execute warrants from 3 different police services

Arrest Warrants In the past 24 hours, the Brandon Police Service (BPS) arrested four individuals on outstanding Warrants for Arrest. One individual was arrested on an RCMP warrant and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in Winnipeg on January 7, 2026. Another was arrested on a Winnipeg Police Service warrant and held for court in the morning. The remaining two individuals were arrested on BPS warrants; one was held for court in the morning, while the other was released on an Undertaking with a future court date. Assault x2 / Failure to Comply Release Order Following an investigation into a November 23, 2025, incident in which a 28-year-old woman was assaulted by her 30-year-old boyfriend, Brandon Police located and arrested the male on November 26, 2025. He was held in BPS detention cells and is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of November 26, 2025.  

Crime Stoppers Wanted and Crime of the Week for November 21, 2025

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE” Seth SMOKE-MOAR FOR Failure to Comply Release Order x3 Failure to Attend Prints . Smoke-Moar is currently subject to a court order and has failed to comply with its conditions. Since October 9, 2025, he has not reported to the Provincial Director or their designate, and he has also failed to attend for required fingerprinting.  As a result of these violations, a warrant has been issued for his arrest. ************* CRIME OF THE WEEK for November 24th, 2025 The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a THEFT.  On November 7, within a 30-minute period, these two males acted in concert to shoplift a substantial quantity of merchandise from a store in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue East. Numerous Assaults, Warrants and Intoxicated Individuals Keep Police Busy

Assault Following an investigation into an incident which occurred on October 31st, 2025, a 19-year-old female was arrested and charged with Assault. The female was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of February 2nd, 2026. Assault / Failure to Comply Release Order & Probation On November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. police received a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 1500 block of 8th Street. Police attended and both individuals on scene, a 40-year-old female and a 50-year-old male, were charged with Assault. The male was also on conditions not to communicate with the female and landed additional charges of Failure to Comply Release Order and Failure to Comply Probation Order. Arrest Warrant In the past 24 hours one Arrest Warrant was executed. The individual was arrested and held in custody for court in the morning (Failure to Comply Probation / Failure to Attend Court). Assault On November 23rd at 4:53 p.m. a 40-year-old male was located and arrested for an assault which occurred on November 15th, 2025, on his mother. The male was released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 22nd, 2026. Breach of the Peace On November 23rd at approximately 5:58 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 100 block of 1st Street for a report of an intoxicated male who was no longer welcome and was attempting to fight others. The individual was transported to the BPS detention facility, where he was held until sober. IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act) On November 23rd at approximately 8:28 p.m., police were contacted about a group of heavily intoxicated individuals who were refusing to leave a business property in the 1100 block of 18th Street. Officers located two males, aged 24 and 31, who were highly intoxicated and uncooperative. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the BPS detention unit, where they were held until sober.

ROBBERYSuspect Arrested

On November 22, 2025, at approximately 1:00 am, a business in the 2400 block of Victoria Ave reported a robbery.  Investigation into the incident lead police to arrest a 40-year-old male at a residence later into the night.  The suspect was also believed to be responsible for a theft of merchandise from a business at 34th and Victoria Ave which occurred earlier in the evening.  The suspect was lodged and will appear in court on charges of Robbery with Threat of Violence, Resist arrest, and Theft Under $5000. A 33-year-old female and a 39-year-old female were also arrested in connection to the robbery.  They were later released to appear in court on January 29, 2026, on charges of Accessory After the Fact to Robbery.
