A security guard at a downtown Brandon business was assaulted, by a 21-year old female, on Friday night. According to reports, the woman was sleeping in the entrance way of the business when the security guard attempted to wake her up and ask her her to leave. The victim was assaulted at that point and did not sustain any injuries. The suspect was located and arrested later in the day. She was held pending her court appearance in the morning.

Twenty year old Russian import Dima Osipov was excited today to find out that his WHL career will end in Brandon, with the Wheat Kings. The 6'4” defenseman, from Moscow, will for sure help the Wheat Kings on the blue line.
