Comedian Steve Taddy Bringing ‘Dark Jokes for Nice Folks’ to Brandon
Brandon audiences will have an opportunity to enjoy an evening of stand-up comedy with a darker twist when comedian Steve Taddy brings his “Dark Jokes for Nice Folks” tour to the city later this month.
The show is scheduled for Friday, November 20, at The Eagles Nest in Brandon as part of Taddy’s Western Canadian comedy tour.
As the name suggests, “Dark Jokes for Nice Folks” offers a comedic look at some of the darker and more uncomfortable sides of everyday life, with humour aimed at people who appreciate edgy comedy without relying on racist or homophobic material.
The Vancouver-based comedian has built a following through performances across Western Canada, having sold out more than 50 stand-up shows throughout the country.
Taddy was also featured at Calgary’s inaugural Craft Island Comedy Festival and released his debut comedy album, Insufferable, in 2023, which is available on streaming platforms.
His comedy show promises an evening of jokes that audiences might find themselves wanting to share with friends or co-workers, only to reconsider whether they should actually say them out loud.
The Brandon performance is part of a broader November tour that will also include stops in Regina, Saskatoon, Steinbach and Winnipeg.
