Food Rescue Grocery Store moving to new downtown location

Brandon’s Food Rescue Grocery Store is preparing to open the doors at its new location on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The store is relocating from The Town Centre to the former Prairie Oasis Centre at 241 Eighth St., giving the community food-rescue organization a more accessible downtown location.

Food Rescue Grocery Store, operated by the John Howard Society of Brandon, sells surplus food that might otherwise end up in the landfill, offering groceries to customers at affordable prices.

The new location will provide improved space and a better shopping experience, while also making the store more accessible to nearby residents, including those who walk or do not have access to a vehicle.

The store will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
