At approx. 2:25 AM today, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of 6th St. The driver, a 31-year-old Brandon man was found to be in possession of 3 cheques which had been previously reported stolen from the mail. He was arrested for possessing stolen property as well as possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose as he was found to have a large knife. He has been released from custody and will appear in court on December 21.
