Multiple bear spray incidents reported Saturday night

Police responded to multiple bear spray incidents over the weekend. At 12:30AM Saturday June 9th police received a report that a 19 year old male has been sprayed with pepper spray while at the Fair. Investigation into this matter has led police to charge a 17 year old Brandon male with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a prohibited Weapon and Breach of Recognizance. This male will be appearing in court June 10th 2018.
At 5:30 PM Saturday police received a report that two employees had been bear sprayed while working at the Brandon Shoppers Mall. The suspect fled the mall and was followed for a short distance. The suspect in this incident is described as approximately 20 years of age between 5’8” and 6’ tall, Aboriginal in appearance and wearing all black. Investigation into this matter is continuing.
At 7:45 PM Saturday police received reports that numerous people have been sprayed with what was believed to be bear spray while attending the Fair. The victims were treated by EMS responders at the fair. Two Brandon youths have been arrested in connection with this incident. A 17 year old male has been charged with Possession with a weapon, a 15year old Male has been charged with Assault with a weapon and Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited weapon. Both males will appear in court June 10th 2018. Investigation into this incident is continuing with further subjects yet to be identified.
At 9:20PM Saturday police received a report that 2 subjects have pepper sprayed a group of individuals in the area of Meadows school. This incident is still being investigated and no arrests have been made at this time.
