Brandon, Manitoba – June 17, 2019 – Shoppers Mall in Brandon, MB, is refreshed and ready to celebrate! After a period of transformation, the mall will be hosting a grand re-opening on June 22 full of fun, games and special guests.
“We are so excited to celebrate after three years of hard work and thank the community for their support during our transformation,” said Kim James, General Manager of Shoppers Mall. “We have great activities planned for all ages, and we’d love for everyone to come out and help us celebrate.”
As part of the celebrations, the mall will be unveiling a new large-scale mural located in the interior hallway leading to Sobeys extra Brandon South. The mural, inspired by local history, geography and culture, has been in progress since June 3 and spans approximately 10 feet high and 50 feet long. Artist Kristin Urbanheart will be in attendance to lead the unveiling at 12:00 and meet with the community until 4:00.
In another first for Brandon, stars of the long-running children series Peppa Pig will be joining the celebrations. Peppa and her brother George will be in Kia Court from 12:00 – 4:00 for a Meet & Greet and photo opportunity.
The first 100 people who purchase a $100 mall gift card at Guest Services beginning at 9:30 am will also receive a $25 bonus gift card. Quantities are limited & one purchase per family/household.
