Suspect Seized in Sexual Assault Investigation

On July 26^th, a 25-year-old female reported being sexually assaulted several weeks earlier by a 39-year-old male at a residence in Brandon. The investigation determined the assault occurred on June 13^th, 2026.

On August 20^th, 2026, officers were able to locate and arrest the accused at the residence. He was taken to BPS for processing and an interview. The 39-year-old male was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 15^th, 2026.

Assault with a Weapon / Possession of a Weapon

On August 20^th at approximately 7:02 p.m., Brandon Police Service received a 911 call reporting that a 13-year-old female was attempting to stab an immediate family member with a knife at a residence on Rosser Avenue. An additional family member intervened and contacted 911. Officers attended the residence and arrested the youth. The youth was processed at BPS and later released to a parent on an Undertaking. She is scheduled to appear in court on November 3^rd, 2026.
