The tourist information area located inside the Riverbank Discovery Centre has undergone a significant facelift recently thanks to Travel Manitoba and Westman Communications Group.

Upgrades include new brochure racks and a three-tier book table, funded by Travel Manitoba and purchased by way of Retail Supplies WR Display & Packaging in Winnipeg, as well as a TV and two iPad stations, which were donated by WCG.

“Travel Manitoba is proud to support the improvements and modernization of the visitor information centre at the Riverbank Discovery Centre,” said Colin Ferguson, President and CEO of Travel Manitoba. “Leading innovation in the delivery of visitor services is an important corporate objective as we work to build brand and market positioning. We understand the value of providing visitors with relevant and timely information to ensure they’re equipped to discover the city of Brandon and Manitoba as a whole.”

“The Riverbank Discovery Centre is a great facility that supports local tourism and the community,” said Courtney Baxter, Manager of Marketing at Westman Communications Group. “Westman is happy to donate up-to-date technology as part of their initiative to modernize their information area, supporting their continued growth and dedication to bringing tourism and exciting events to Brandon for years to come.”

“I cannot thank Travel Manitoba and Westman Communications Group enough for their support in this initiative,” said Lanny Stewart, Brandon Tourism Manager. “Their partnership in this endeavor helped create a much-needed new look and design to the area as well as up-to-date technology for tourists visiting the centre.”

“A lot of work has been put into getting this project complete and I’m appreciative of all parties involved in making this happen,” said James Montgomery, GM of Brandon Riverbank Inc.
