Two arrested in downtown incident involving bear spray, CO2 pellet pistol

At 2:15 am on Sunday morning, officers were in the area of 10th St and Rosser Ave on another matter. One of the officers observed a male riding a bicycles a short distance away. As the male on the bike passed two other men, one of the men pointed a hand gun at him. The male on the bicycle then sprayed the two men with bear spray and rode off. All three men were located in the area. The male on the bicycle, a 19 year old from Winnipeg, was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Center. He will be charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Breach of a Weapons Prohibiton order and will appear in court in September. The male who pointed the firearm was located in possession of a CO2 pellet pistol and was arrested. He was lodged and will be released to appear in court in September on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Use of a Firearm during the Commission of an Offence.
