On April 22nd at 3:28 pm Police were called to a child versus vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue. Several witnesses advised police that a four-year-old male child ran from a business parking lot on the north side of Victoria Avenue. The child ran into the side of a trailer that was being towed by a half ton truck. The truck was westbound. The child was transported to Brandon Regional Health Center and then STARS transported the child to the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital in serious condition.
UPDATE – Brandon Police were just notified that the child succumbed to his injuries late last night. We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time.
