Assault with hammer, stolen vehicle reported

Assault with Hammer

On August 26 at 2:45pm, BPS attended an address in Brandon following a report of a male who assaulted his female partner by striking her with a hammer. She sustained minor injuries as a result. A 36-year-old male was located and arrested nearby after attempting to discard the hammer. He was held in custody until sober and released by Undertaking for one count of Assault with a Weapon.

Stolen Vehicle

On August 26, BPS received a report of a vehicle that was stolen the previous night from the 0-100 block of 26^th Street. The vehicle is a brown 2005 Chevrolet Equinox (MB# HUG 729). If you locate this vehicle, please contact Police.
