The 8th annual Birdies for Brain Tumours Golf Tournament held on June 22, 2019 raised a total of $16,000, with $12,000 being donated to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and $4,000 donated to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation | Western Manitoba Cancer Centre. Birdies For Brain Tumours is a charity golf tournament and dinner that was founded in July of 2012. The tournament relies of a vast number of sponsors, volunteers, participants, organizers, supporters, donors, friends, and family to make the tournament a huge success. A number of prizes were up for grabs this year including a 2013 EZGO TXT golf cart, a 1 week vacation rental at Gleneagles Getaway, and a $500 Royal Bus Lines gift certificate. The 2020 tournament date will be announced shortly.
