At 11:00 AM Friday morning, Police received a report from a lady who indicated she had her purse stolen from her while she waited at a bus stop in the 800 block of Victoria Ave. At 2:30 PM a second lady reported having her purse stolen from a shopping cart while in a parking lot in the 800 block of Victoria Ave. A witness chased the suspect until police arrived and located the 31-year-old male hiding between houses in the 600 block of 10th St. Stolen items from both thefts were located in the male’s possession. He was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre until sober at which time he will be released with a court date of November 18th.
