Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release At approximately 3:30 am, police took a 21-year-old female into custody after repeatedly interacting with her beginning at 9:00 pm. Throughout the evening, police attempted to leave her in the care of responsible adults; however, they were unable to control her outbursts. The final straw occurred when the female showed up at Brandon Police Service and proceeded to throw a rock at a parked cruiser. She was lodged to prevent any offences from occurring.

Police charge two people in Brandon with drug trafficking

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 3400 block of Willowdale Cres. shortly after 1:00 pm. The 2 occupants were found to have an air pistol, canister of bear mace, 3.7 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of meth, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and cash. A 26-year-old male was arrested and lodged and will appear in court today on charges of Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possess Codeine, Possess Proceeds of Crime, Possess Weapon Contrary to Order, and Breach of Recognizance. A 24-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court on August 8, 2019 on charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possess Codeine, and Possess Proceeds of Crime.

Youth accused of Possession of a Weapon following fight at the Summer Fair

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release At 8:25 pm Friday, a Brandon youth was arrested at the grounds of the Summer Fair after police attended a fight. No one involved in the fight wished to provide any information to police, however one male youth was searched after arrest and found to be in possession of a knife that was concealed in his clothing. The male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre overnight and will be released today to appear in court in July, and is facing one charge of Possession of a Weapon.

Two people face meth trafficking charges following traffic stop

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release At approximately 1:00 am police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Rosser Ave. E as the vehicle had inactive plates. The occupants were observed to have open liquor bottles in plain view which lead to their initial arrests. They were found to be in possession of two bags of meth totaling approximately 15 grams, a bag containing a mixture of Meth and a cutting agent, other drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles. A 22-year-old male was arrested on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Meth, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, and Breach of Probation. A 30-year-old female was arrested on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Meth, and Possession of Prohibited Weapon. They will both appear in court on August 8, 2019.

Vehicle tires slashed in Brandon

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On Thursday morning, six individuals discovered their vehicle tires had been slashed overnight in the 800 block of 15th street, 700 block of 16th street, and 700 block of 17th street. The suspect is a male who was observed in the area, wearing a blue jacket with a black stripe across the chest. A photo of the suspect is available.
