Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release Theft of a Motorcycle: On Sunday afternoon, Police received a report that a motorcycle had been stolen from a residence in 600 block of 9th Street. The theft occurred sometime between Friday night and was discovered missing around 3:00pm on Sunday afternoon. The motorcycle is a 2018 Suzuki DR-Z400SM black, yellow decals, gold rims and Manitoba license plate 8FC39. Police continue to investigate. Theft of Camper Trailer: On Sunday evening, Police received a report that a camper trailer had been stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Lorne Avenue. The theft occurred prior to 1:00pm on Sunday. The camper trailer is 1974 Triple E 10 bowler style camper with Manitoba license plate Y063R. Still under investigation.

Man charged after allegedly stealing groceries

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release As a result of an ongoing investigation a 26-year-old Brandon man was charged with stealing $130 worth of groceries from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. He was located on September 1st in the area of 9th and Rosser and was arrested and released for a later court date.

Female allegedly in possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release A 32-year old female from Waywayseecappo was arrested at approximately at 10:30 PM last night when police stopped a vehicle in the 1100 Block of Princess Avenue.  The female was in possession of 11 grams of cocaine, a set of scales, and packaging materials.  She was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court in the morning to be charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.  

RCMP say charges laid in officer shooting

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are reporting on their Facebook page that a total of twenty-one charges have been laid to date against four individuals in relation to the shooting that occurred on August, 29, 2018.  They also say that the investigation is ongoing by the Major Crimes Unit and further charges are possible. The 4 individuals who were identified by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba on Friday, August 31, 2018 for their alleged involvement in the shootout are listed below. Therae Racette-Beaulieu, 18, Sandy Bay First Nation - Attempted murder with firearm x2 - Breaking and entering x2 - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 - Weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization - Possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle Tommy Edward Beaulieu, 21, Portage la Prairie - Theft of vehicle - Breaking and entering x2 - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 - Weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization - Fail to comply with a probation order Shane Donovan Beaulieu, 30, Portage la Prairie - Breaking and entering x2 - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 - Weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization Delaney Marcus Houle, 23, Portage la Prairie - Breaking and entering x2 - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 - Possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle

Male arrested allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and homemade weapon

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release Brandon Man found in Possession of Methamphetamine and Homemade Weapon: At approximately 7:30 a.m., Police stopped a male in the 100 block of 9th street and was found to have an existing Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. He was arrested on the strength of the Warrant and a subsequent search of his person Police located a homemade weapon and a large quantity of an individually packaged prescription drug and Methamphetamine. The 30-year-old man from Brandon was lodged at the Correctional Centre and will appear in Court today after being charged with Possession Methamphetamine, Possess Weapon Dangerous, Public Mischief and Breach of Recognizance.
