Comedy and magic collide in ‘The Very Big Show’ coming to Brandon
A night of laughs, jaw-dropping illusions and high-energy entertainment is headed to the city this spring as Comedy and Magic: The Very Big Show with Simon King and Wes Barker arrives at Houston’s Country Roadhouse on April 2, 2026. The touring show blends razor-sharp stand-up comedy with stunt magic, creating a one-of-a-kind performance that promises to keep audiences laughing while leaving them wondering how the tricks were done.
Headlining the evening is comedy magician Wes Barker, known for his daring illusions and comedic storytelling. Barker has gained international attention for fooling legendary magicians Penn & Teller on their television show and has appeared on programs such as Ellen, America’s Got Talent, and Just For Laughs. With millions of online views and a growing fan base, Barker has become one of the most recognizable comedy magicians performing today.
Sharing the stage is acclaimed stand-up comic Simon King, whose sharp wit and commanding stage presence have earned him spots on major networks including HBO, Comedy Central and TBS. King’s material ranges from the absurd to the thought-provoking, delivered with a fast pace and fearless style that has made him a favourite among comedy audiences.
Together, the duo deliver what promoters describe as a high-energy show where “very dark, very smart” stand-up comedy meets astonishing stunt magic, creating a unique entertainment experience.
With two acclaimed performers sharing the stage for one night only, Brandon audiences can expect an evening packed with impossible tricks, rapid-fire punchlines and plenty of surprises when The Very Big Show rolls into Houston’s this April.
