Flood Preparedness Notification: Information for Residents

The City of Brandon is delivering flood preparedness notifications this morning to homes located within potential flood evacuation areas.
Important:

Receiving this notice does not mean an evacuation has been ordered. The City is taking every available measure to reduce the likelihood that residents will need to leave their homes and is sharing this information so residents can prepare in advance should conditions change.

Residents in notified areas are encouraged to stay informed, prepare a bag for each household member with essential items such as identification, medications, health cards, clothing, chargers, and other personal necessities.

If an evacuation were to become necessary, residents would be notified through:

• Alert Ready emergency alerts
• Local radio stations
• The City of Brandon website
• City social media channels
• Door-to-door visits from officials
