A new restaurant specializing in authentic Pakistani and Middle Eastern cuisine is looking to open sometime late January/early February inside the City Centre Hotel. Muhammad Furqan tells bdnmb.ca that he moved to Brandon several months ago from Northern Manitoba to open Khan Foods. As it is Muhammad’s first foray into the hospitality industry he has hired a chef with 10-12 years of experience in cooking Middle Eastern food. Muhammad will run the 44 seat restaurant alongside his wife who will also help out in the kitchen. Currently they are busy perfecting the decor while they wait on some additional kitchen equipment to arrive. The diversified menu (Chicken Biryani, Shawarma, Butter Chicken, Shish Tawouk, Kabuli Pulao, Shish kebab, Nihari, Naan Bread, Falafel, Soup) will also be available on SkipTheDishes and Dash Delivery. Future plans may include adding a breakfast menu and a buffet. You can check out their Facebook page here.
